The Bill is a Private Members’ Bill which would require all rented properties, in both private and social sectors, to have a working, hard-wired smoke detection and warning system at the beginning of any tenancy agreement.
The Second Reading of the Bill in Parliament is due on Friday 23rd March 2012.
